Description
Join the Ascend New England team to package and distribute food for low-income Asian immigrant and refugee families with the Rice Sticks and Tea (RST) food pantry program at the Arlington Street Church in Boston.
Each month, RST serves over 120 pre-screened low-income Asian immigrant and refugee families that represent over 300 children, adults and seniors. It is the only food pantry program in the region whose mission is to serve the Asian community and provide food that is consistent with their cultural cooking traditions and preferences.
Note: This volunteer event is free, and the Rice Sticks and Tea Food Pantry welcomes optional donations of any amount that will go directly toward purchasing food for the families they serve. You can make your donation by going to https://ricesticksandtea.org/donate/ if you opt to donate.
