Hieu Nguyen

FP&A Analyst, Sanofi

Hieu is currently a FP&A Analyst at Sanofi in the Greater Boston area. As a FP&A Analyst, Hieu manages Headcount and OPEX/CAPEX Spend, while serving as the effective Cash Controller for the site. Prior to joining Sanofi, Hieu served as the Principal Financial Analyst for the City of Worcester MA for four years, where he developed and managed the Cities’ Operational and Capital Budgets. Simultaneous to this, he also Co-Founded a business alongside his brother.

 

Hieu has a diverse background in Profit & Non-profit organizations and has a passion for personal/professional development. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an MBA from Bentley University. Hieu has been a proud member of the Ascend New England Chapter for two years.

Jay Chauhan

Senior Category Manager, IBM Procurement Consulting & Services

Jay Chauhan is a Sr. Category Manager at IBM Procurement Consulting and Services where he works with global clients to address priority CPO issues regarding procurement transformation such as SG&A costs, operating model and digital strategy. His most recent assignment is to achieve cost transformation for a US based shoe manufacturer on annual spend of $1Bn within technology & services domain.
 
He has a decade of leadership experience in Strategy & Operations with particular emphasis on procurement, manufacturing & project management across Energy, Technology & Industrial equipment industry at F500 companies.
 
He’s an Electrical Engineer by background and completed his MBA (Distinction) from Schulich School of Business, Canada. He’s been with Ascend Canada for last few years and currently acting as Director, GTA Events.

Joan Wong

Partner, KPMG

Joan is a Partner in KPMG Canada’s Deal Advisory practice, based in Toronto. Before that, she has worked in both KPMG in Hong Kong and London. Joan has been involved in the financial services community for almost 20 years. Over the last decade, she has advised on some of the prominent deals in the financial services sector across the globe. Prior to her relocation to Toronto, she was KPMG’s Insurance deal advisory lead for the ASPAC region and a member of the Corporate Finance Advisory Panel of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
 
Joan specializes in mergers, acquisition & divestiture related due diligence and deal advisory services especially in the Financial Services industry sector which include Insurance, Banking, Investment Management and Funds.
